I love the schedule tonight! I took a few days off from posting since I went 2-2 on Tuesday, but I have to post these plays. Again, my plays are ranked from 1*-5*, never more than that. Odds come straight from sportsoptions.
1. Washington -143 (Lannon conditional) 5 units I love Lannon in this spot! This is my first play above a 3 unit play of the season. Washington has won 4 in a row and 6 games out of 7. IN his last 20 innings, Lannon has only allowed 1 run. Washington wins this one by 4 runs. I am taking the runline with the + odds in my bets.
2. Detroit -135 (Gallaraga and Hernandez conditional) 3 units It is real tough to find a team that is hotter than the Tigers right now. They just finished sweeping the Yankees IN NEW YORK! They have won 8 out of their last 10 games. Gallaraga has looked real strong of late. His ERA is 1.5 over his last 3 starts. Meanwhile, Hernandez for Minny got ROCKED in his last start. He lasted only 2.2 innings and gave up 9 hits, 7 runs and 2 homeruns. Detroit wins this one going away. I am also taking this game on the runline as well.
3. Philadelphia -155 (Misch conditional) 2 units
4. FLorida Marlins -123 3 units (Germano and Hendrickson conditional) Germano for SD has been getting rocked lately! He gave up 6 earned runs in his last start and 10 earned runs in just 3 innings against the HORRENDOUS Houston Astros! He gave up 10 hits against the Astros in those 3 innings. It is a good thing for him that the pitcher had to bat! I dont look for this one to be close, but since Florida is at home and most likely will NOT bat the bottom of the 9th, I am not taking the runline on this one. The odds for Florida here should be around -160 I believe.
5. LA Dodgers +105 (Penny conditional) 3 units The Dodgers have been playing some real good ball of late. They have won 6 games in a row and 8 out of their last 10 games. Colorado is going the other way. They have LOST 9 out of their last 11 games. Pitching for LA is Brad Penny. He has been pitching better of late by only giving up 4 earned runs in his last 3 starts. Also, he gets INCREDIBLE run support! The team has scored 11,9,8, and 5 runs in his last 4 starts.
