Euro Championship starts next month and I can tell you, pricing up the games will be a bastard for the Books, I've just spent a couple of Hours digging into stats to make a Power rating but its a nonsense. Nearer the time I'll post some figures which hopefully a silly Book will miss but the early advantage will definitely be in the bettors Favour. IMO best value for your money are the Swiss. They are going to be playing home, and are VERY GOOD and upcoming young team. They qualified in tough group for the previous world cup, and did well at the worlds despite having very young team. I would wager for them to win their group and to win the whole thing as well.
Another value for your money is Sweden to win their group as their in the easiest group. Spain is overrated and SHOULDN'T have come out of their group in qualifying. Russia a medicore team. Greece is average team. This would be my lock to win their group at least.
I would STAY away from France, Netherlands & Italy. Not because their not good enough, but their in the toughest group. Atleast one of those won't be progressing, and possibly two. Romania is underrated and are very good team. I think they have as good of chance of coming out of the group as any of the other teams.

The biggest problem is Qualifiers and Normal Internationals Goals come out at about 3 whereas The Competition itself has a Goal average of 2.46 and a Draw percentage of 24%, then you have the play-offs where it gets even tighter. I know a Book is in the dilemma of wanting to take Bets and generate some new custom but at the same time loathe to leave themselves open, Ladbrokes and Willhill will have put a lot of work in on this with shit hot People so follow their early lead. As a side issue, I noted a very rare overlay by Ladbrokes on the football Today, Fulham/Birmingham Over 2.5, Lads gioing the Best price by far, result 2-0 :drink:

Croatia has strong team, but I'm with you here. They lost one of their best strikers in Eduardo. He was their leading goal scorer in qualification.
I was looking at pinnacle and Romania goals over 2.5 is at -111. IMO THIS IS great value. This team is among the best teams going forward in the championship. I think they have atleast a 2 goal game in them. This will be my BIGGEST wager in this championship.
The Irish invented probably the most underrated Game in the World, Hurling. It has to be the best live spectator Sport ever, sheer skill at a furious pace and no sissy fighting like well clad Ice Hockey Players, just a wrap of wood around the Head in the middle of a play or a crunch of knuckles while swinging the Ash, different class. :drink:
I actually like Romania as well. They play good D only giving up 7 goals during qualifying and have Mutu would can break open a game. Plus the other three teams will be gearing up for one another. If any of those teams suffer a let down against Romania, they can take advantage of it. Also think Turkey can surprise some teams out there.
Romania in 2008 reminds of me Euro 2000 when they were in the group of death with Germany, England and Portugal and were able to advance.
