WIll the bank process my check from BODOG?

In October 2006, the U.S. government passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling and Enforcement Act which prohibits banks from processing transactions for online gambling operators. Though the act did not make online gambling itself illegal per se, many online casinos and poker rooms abandoned the U.S. market, though Bodog chose to continue to serve U.S. players.

So my question is... will the bank process my check? Has anyone dealt with this before?

It shouldnt be a problem. The check may be put on hold if it is a large amount until the check clears but you should be ok.

The UIGEA prohibits US banks from sending funds for the purpose of illegal online gambling. It says nothing about receiving funds. Check the Act!

hey man!

just to let you know! not sure why but i hada 50 check that was hot from them 3 months ago! they still have not sent me my new check! so i would becareful about using them since that new law! i just cancelled my account yesterday! their custmer service has gone way down heal!

will never use them again!

Bodog is not a problem at all....and the banks cash them. Quit worrying.

keep in mind also that while the 'net gambling law was indeed passed, the regulations that spell out just how it is supposed to be enforced still have not been finalized.

What kind've payout did you request? I'm getting ready to make a withdrawal soon hopefully, which one would you recommend ?

i have had them mail me checks..has worked for me so far, payouts are a little slow though

Yea it won't be a problem

Checks from bodog take too long to arrive, 3-4 weeks

I got the check a couple days ago and it went through so thats good. I had them send me a check via fedex and it took about a month to get it, even though they say 20 days.
