I restarted the low carb diet a month ago and I am really embracing it this time. I have been able to come up with tons of tasty dishes to distract me from the potatoes and sweets.

Breakfast is the shit. Various eggs and bacon, sausage and ham is a nice hearty meal that can tie you over for hours.

I have also made some nice meals for dinner like tacos with low carb soft tortillas, ground lamb, beef, and veal in low carb pita breads. Fish, fish and more fish. I have also made some nice meals with chicken and pork. My crockpot and indoor electric grill is putting in overtime for me too. I even made some low carb crab cakes using pork rinds instead of bread crumbs.

Do any of you low carbers out there have some nice meals you can share with the rest of us fat-asses?

Swear by it. For me not weight loss but health.
Feel better and have more energy.
Follow it correctly, adding veggies and nuts when prescribed.

Every few months I take a week off(holidays) usually.
Energy falls, need antacids.
Always reaffirmes my resolve that it is right for my body.

I'm on the 5th week of my keto diet which is similar to low carb, but it's really a NO carb diet.

Omega 3 eggs and turkey sausage for breakfast.

Protein shakes with all natural peanut butter.

Fish or filet mignon once a day.

Grilled chicken with a handful of almonds.

Lost about 18 pounds in 4 weeks without losing any muscle or strength, so it's cutting me up. Down from 215 to 198. I do a lot of cardio and all, and that melts the pounds off when in combination with the diet.

Instead of eating bad shit and making the diet unhealthy like bacon and cheese and all sorts of crap, my body is drawing energy from better natural fats like all natural peanut butter, fish oils, almonds, lean meat. Love it.

Once a week you basically "carb load" and load up glycogen storage and you are basically allowed 1 cheat meal a week where the only rule is you cant go over 500 g carbs. Its not only allowed, it is part of the diet and encouraged. Knocked out some PF Changs asian bistro the other night on Saturday.

Good meal by the way is Mojo Pork since you're a crockpot guy. Get some Mojo marinade and a lean pork loin and put that bad boy in the crockpot all day with some garlic and onions and separate it and start pulling that tender pork apart with two forks and have some MoJo pulled pork for dinner. If you dont care about carbs, get some vigo yellow rice and some hot sauce and have fun.

Nice job, Box. I'm going to start a CKD program next week. I'm 41 and at my age (and lack of discipline), it's the easiest way to strip away bodyfat.

A few years back I did it and went from 209 to 175. I bulked back up to 185 and kept the weight off for about 3 years until I had a major knee surgery. Couldn't work out and got sloppy with my diet and put the weight back on. I've gone up and down since then.

I usually do < 20g carbs Mon-Fri and then eat what I want (within reason) on the weekends. Keeps me sane.

I've been on the South Beach diet for the last couple of weeks trying to lose about 15 pounds for the summer..It's working out pretty nice..And I find it less drastic and easier to follow than the low/no carb diet.

I tried the Keto as well, wasn't a huge fan, often felt weak in the gym, I really don't follow any one strict plan, I have my own diet and know what works for me

Keep up the good work and stay eating healthy and exercising.

I know I'm still working hard and trying to get it right, but I feel much better when I'm focused and doing the right things than when I'm not.:103631605

Going to make some good low carb shit for dinner tonight. I have some frozen philly steak meat that I picked up at Trader Joe's. I am going to throw that on the indoor griddle with some bell pepper, red onion and mushroom then I will fill that up in a low carb pita pocket with some provolone or mozzarela.

Atkins single-handedly killed the Krispy Kreme franchise. Krispy Kreme was forced to sell most of its locations in my county to Chick-Fil-A.

I'm on week 3 of my low carb diet. I posted about three weeks ago that I had started and had low energy. That has changed.

Knocking out a lot of chicken breast and salad for dinner with lots of steamed veggies. Just finished off a couple of steaks that had a nice rub on them.

Hard boiled eggs for breakfast with a little plain yogurt and blueberries. Once in a while I throw in some cottage cheese and blueberries or fresh raspberries.

Lunch brings an apple and some organic peanut butter and cheese sticks a hand full of sunflower seeds.

Oh yeah, Michelob Ultra isn't bad. Okay, it's not great but it will do.

I'm not sure what I am doing falls into any prescribed diet plan but I don't eat bread, rice, pasta, taters and high carb items. My clothes are fitting great and might even have to get some new pants in a week or so.

I have been drinking Michelob Ultra for years now but lately it has become tasteless to me. I can't tell the difference between an Ultra and a bottle of sparkling mineral water. I think I might give Budweiser Select a try.

Amstel Light isn't bad. Try that one.

Yikes, 8-10 cans of Coke. That is worse than beer seriously. I hope you will cut back on that, for your own good.

During the 4 OT NHL playoff game the other night the announcers spoke
of the players ordering in a pizza, taking off the cheese, & everything
else, and just eating the crust. It sounds like NHL players are on a very
high carb diet.
