The National do not call list is useless.

Been on that thing since it started.
I bet I get more telemarketers calling me now than ever before.
Another useless goverment program that dont work.
Whats new?

I thought they were supposed to get fined when they call a number not on the list.

Guess not.

it is 200$ to join the premium list.......you must have sent 40$ for intermediate one

Did you reregister this past fall, if not your no longer on it, it only lasts so long and you have to reregister. I was getting a bunch of calls until I found out about this, then maybe 1-2 a month and I report it on the website.

they do get fined if they call your number...but you have to report it..it is not something they do for you...you also can get money from them...go to the site and read

There are "exemptions"....

"calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you’ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls."

Telephone surveyors are allowed to call you even if you are on the list. Makes the whole thing as useless as can be!

The only way they can be reported is if I answer my phone and identify them as a telemarketer.

I don't answer my phone when I don't recognize the number.

I don't answer my phone most of the time when I DO recognize the number.

Who answers their phone when not recognizing the number??

Not necessarily, I pay around $110 a QP its not the stickiest of the icky but the price is right.
