Played two years ago in the $2500 buy in. really wasn't any fun but a great experience.
Six of us went out to play, i lasted 6 1/2 hours. everyone out there thinks they are a pro.
Guy they called"the shiek" was the biggest asshole of all. must of had 7 or 8 warnings about stupid shit, like sitting on chairs stacked up three or four high. when he got knocked out he had his little temper tandrum.
Most of the pros just put on a show when the ESPN cameras came by. some were cool and others didn't want to be bothered.
One of the nicest and funniest guys there was Umberto Brenes, total class and real.

im sure brenes is a great guy...away from the table. i know he does a lot of great things for costa rica and is well respected for charity work and stuff but after watching him on tv for a few hours, i would rather chew off my fingers and toes than to sit at a table listening to his mouth and watching him play with that fucking shark all the damn time. easily the most obnoxious player i have seen.
i know what it looks like on TV but he's honestly a good guy who is having fun. most of the others are just stuck up rich pricks that have no time for most people.
remember one thing about someone like Brenes, alot of the stuff you see is for TV. my buddy flopped a flush against him and brenes had two pair and went all in and my buddy called. Brenes pulls a boat on the river and no lie must have apoligized five times saying that wasn't right and he didn't deserve to continue on. a very good down to earth guy.
