US Cellular over Wrigley is a joke.

Also not sure how US Cellular is ranked #1 in traffic considering 90/94 is usually slow as shit around 6pm when you'd be trying to get to a game.

Just went to a Pirates game and the atmosphere was a zero. No one in the ballpark cared about the game. The atmosphere in my house for a game is more electric. Then again i am not forced to watch the pirates play.

i'll bet SI didnt even waste the money to send someone to a marlins game.

they just assumed it was the worst experience.

what an awful place to watch a game.

the seats dont even point you in the right direction.

What does team quality or fan IQ have to do with a baseball park ranking? I'd leave those out.

These are NOT SI's rankings! These are the rankings of a bunch of morons who voted at SI.com in a poll that was open to everyone.

Fenway Park - typical.

What an upset Fenway Park is 30th (last) in affordibility with an average ticket price nearly double the league average and also raised for as far as I can see by 10% this year just for the hell of it.

Seriously, a family of four that wants only average seats will spend at least $400 for a night out at Fenway (conservative estimate). Includes parking, programs, souveniers, food and beverage at ballpark, the actual tickets and a decent dinner some where in a 50 mile radius of Fenway after the game.

Go upscale with seats and restaurant and you can drop a dime no problem.

The Pawtucket Red Sox about 45 miles away in Rhode Island are one of the most sucessful triple A teams in the country because if the average man in the street from New England who works for a living making say $40,000 a year wants to take his family of 4 to a real pro baseball game it's Pawtucket or make a huge sacrifice from some where else to pay for seats at Fenway - IF you can get any (forget decent) I'm talking nosebled seats. Average ticket price at Fenway is a whopping $48.80 per seat versus the league avrage of $25.43. (even the Yankees average only $41.40 per ducat which is second highest in MLB).

"A middle class family of four having to drop a week's salary to go to the game." is no exaggeration.

Saving grace is they have an exciting team that wins over 60% of their home games. Of course you can watch that on TV real cheap because they are sold out for the next century.

Hilarious that San Diego's Petco was rated #1 for neighborhood. Yes, the gaslamp is nearby and is awesome, but Petco sits in the middle of the biggest homeless area in the city. There are numerous shelters and homeless all around the park

to say atmosphere at fenway is 21st out of the league is a JOKE...two fridays ago the game was rain delayed almost 3hours on a cold (like40degrees) dreary friday night and the stands were still PACKED when the 1st pitch was thrown out at almost 10pm...
