My book doesn't offer a line on the TOR/CLE game (i suppose because it's a double header), so i will move my action to:

boston @ minnesota (7:05 ET) - NO - EVEN

a run is scored in the 1st inning of boston games 32.50% of the time
sox score a run in the 1st inning in 20.00% of those
sox allow a run in the 1st inning in 17.50% of those

a run is scored in the 1st inning of minnesota games 50.00% of the time
minnesota scores a run in the 1st inning in 36.11% of those
minnesota allows a run in the 1st inning in 30.56% of those

current league averages are 51.72%, 30.33%, & 30.59%

i don't like playing "NO's", but this is the only other trend going today.

Last year I was playing No in like every game figuring that it all you need to do was get 6 outs and you would win and I kept losing. This year i've been mixing it up a little bit but still can't get a grip on this. When i play Yes its like 123 inning every time and when I play no there is a leadoff hr. Its crazy

my spreadsheet normally will give me 1 or 2 strong plays a day. that's it. some days i get nothing at all.

a few teams do indeed show strong, consistent tendencies towards or away from 1st inning scoring (like the astros and red sox as examples).

others are very deceptive (like the pirates) and show a strong tendency of not scoring in the first inning, but allowing a large amount of runs (or vise versa).

peace,

lazzonya
