OT: Mid 40s and have never done any drugs - Did I miss anything?

46 in July and I've never done anything harder than tequila shots. The closest I've ever come to smoking dope is the occasional second hand whiff. Many people I know have tried this drug or that but frankly, it has never really interested me in the slightest and even now I'm barely curious.

Did I miss anything or was I better off for not doing any drugs?

Those aren't mutually exclusive responses. You absolutely missed something but in the end you are probably better off. Certainly didn't waste the money involved with it.

It you are barely curious, it was the right decision for you.

I have enjoyed a most of the expeirences I have had. Some of them were really fun.

Luckily, I have had an easier time keeping the drugs in moderation than my other vices.

That's fairly hard stuff right there, depending on quantity.

Some of the parties I attended in younger days (I'm 48 myself) had guys knocking enough tequila shots in just a couple hours to where they would literally be able to undergo invasive surgery they were so anesthesized.

As for the primary question posed, you haven't missed anything that was urgently needed depending on whether you have mental and/or physical challenges which might be well treated by cannabis use.

I would say you potentially missed some great times. Just thinking back on some of those sessions right now makes me laugh to myself. States of mind that led to specific events and / or conversations that would have never happened if not for the smoke. Stuff my buds and I can laugh about till the day we die. I never really kept up smoking later in college and later in life simply because I personally don't enjoy losing control of social situations anymore. Back then though? Oh hell yeah. Awesome memories

A 'heroine" is a brave female.

As for heroin, one can achieve pretty much the same effects by knocking back about 12 ozs of tequila in an hour or less.
