The Cubs put this game in cruise control. The Over backers needed the Pirates to put up some early runs to keep the Cub bats motivated.

Your right. You obviously need both teams to score, but the reality is that it keeps winning team aggressive and leads to more offense. Now every guy is trying swing for the downs.

Exactly. The table setters start swinging for the fence and the RBI machines cease to function with 2 outs and no one on base. The Pirates are great at scoring late runs to push the game over. This is two days in a row that they scored late to push the game over.
