I love manny but i just think Vlad is much better all around
Ichiro is good but not on those twos hitting level and i still think vlad is a better fielder maybe a few years ago prob not right now
People ust to not even think about running on him no matter where the ball was hit manny's a liability out there

A little back drop to this thread. I was arguing with a guy about outfield assists. He used them to say Manny was underrated defensively. I told him those stats were overrated because the best arms got fewer chances to throw people out. I showed him a ranking of the best arms in baseball and he said no one on that list was better than Manny. I pointed out Ichiro and Vlad...he told me that any GM taking those guys over Manny, in the above situation, would be working single A ball.
I pretty much just gave up the conversation at that point. however, I did want to see what others thought.
FWIW, I think if Vlad had played in Cleveland and Boston, while Manny played in Montreal and LA, that they would have very similar numbers. Vlad would probably have better numbers.
Ichiro would probably have or closing in on 3k hits.
