He tends to do this. You have to be careful when tailing (not just him, but anyone). The thing about him is that he usually won't cost you too much because I think his money management is better than most.
If you are going to tail someone for a baseball season and you expect to make the same profit they do, you need to consider a lot of factors.
Take it for what it's worth, but this is just my opinion as someone who has made good money and also been buried tailing others. I do so at my own risk and in over 1000 posts, you will not find one where I bashed a guy I was tailing for having a bad day.
Here are some criteria I use:
- obviously you need to find a good capper. There are plenty on here, so then you need to narrow it down based on other factors.
- to me, the most important thing once I have some cappers is convenience. I have a busy job and two very young children who require a lot of my time. I can't be waiting around until game times waiting for someone to post. A perfect example is Tomorrow's Newspaper. He has established himself as a consistent baseball capper, but to me, he's impossible to tail. You will never attain the profit he does. He signs onto the site 30 minutes before night games go off and then reads threads. Then 5-10 minutes before the games, he posts his games, sometimes getting as close to 2-3 minutes before start times. If you're busy and have things to do, there's no way to tail someone who posts so late. He also adds after his original posts and posts multiple times on days with day and night games. Nothing against him. I'm sure people make money tailing him, but to me, you will never end up with the same units he wins.
- I also like to find someone who posts day in and day out without chasing. I don't like to tail people who have a few bad days and then take two weeks off. Invariably, they will come back after two weeks and tell you they've been red hot since they've stopped posting, which always seems like a kick in the gut to me.
- I like to tail people who have expertise in a given sport. I think it's impossible to win across all sports and I like to find guys who seem to have a knack for excelling at a particular sport.
- most of the time it's not possible, but I like to get a sense for how much a capper is playing per unit. If i'm playing $100 per unit, I really don't want to be following someone who is playing $10 per unit. I know his $10 may be my $100, but it's still not the same to me.
Those are the things that are important to me. If I think of any more that I think are pertinent, I will post them.
