Hornets and Spurs tonight.

Should be a great game.
I am not going to let my homerism get the best of me and not give props to the world champ San Antonio Spurs.

They have given me a new level of respect this series. They truly have the heart of a champion. They could have easily given up after being down 2-0 but came back strong.

The Hornets could have easily given up after game 4 but showed a lot of character and poise for a young team.

It all comes down to tonight.

I was going to go to the game, but $1000 for 2 tickets is a little on the high side.

Just bought my season tickets for next year though. Im ready to roll.

2 half court seats(43 games) in the first row of the 3rd deck. Sat there for game 2. I think they are the best seats in the house for the money.
Only $2600 for 2 seats and 43 games. Cant beat that with a stick.

Really looking forward to this game also. Expecting a classic. Hornets feel they are ready to move to the next level (and they are) but the boys in black will fight till the death. Manu will be huge tonight. GO SPURS!

Good Luck with your MLB!!

I dont bet the NBA. Its bad for my health.

Only thing I have going is a forum bet with MR CLEO. I bet him that the Hornets would make the WCFinals about 2 months ago.

$250 for $500.

If the Hornets win this game I win the bet.

The reality is that for one of these teams this game will probably only rank as high as the 3rd most "important" game they play when the playoffs are over. If you understand my point.

Bottom line a lot of big games to still be played. Can you imagine how exciting this would be for you if this was more than a 2nd roound matchup?

Me on the other hand, not looking forward to it. I have a very large wager on SA for the series, and do not like this situation in any way shape or form. I can get out at a huge loss, as I think NO wins, but don't think they win as often as the money line suggests. Therefore what the hell does a guy do? Let it ride? Iceman? Suggestions? Leaning towards manning up and letting it fly and hoping Ginobli and Duncan refuse to lose. It is going to be a madhouse there though, similar to in Warrior land last year.

Disagree. That crowd waits until the 2nd half to start getting into games when NO has made their patented blowout run. They should be more lively for this one but the Spurs caught a break with how passive that home crowd has been at times, especially in relation to the Spurs' own home crowd.

Comparing NO's homecourt in the playoffsto Golden State's last year playoff run is like comparing apples to oranges. Golden State's was ridiculous, to say the least. NO's has been much worse than SA's, Utah's, Boston's and Cleveland's, by a long shot.

I have to tell you I agree with this post 100%.

N.O homecourt advantage is very overated.
The reason it looks like the hornets hc so strong is because the Hornets have such a bad road court disadvantage.

They are a young team that his not learned how to be a great road team yet.

You cant compare the hornets actual hc to a team like SA.

The Spurs crowd is in the game no matter what.

The Hornets fans need something to cheer about in order to get involved.

I have been to about 5 games now.

I have also been to spurs and bulls home games in years past.
There is no comparasion.

I got hornets for the series and feel spurs win this game, but not hedging. Just gonna let it ride at a bloated price...not going to watch it though as im really sick of the refs...

yeah, but stern could salivating for a spurs/lakers wc finals. it would pit the new dynasty vs the dying dynasty (well, hopefully they die tonight, so that doesnt come to fruition, but who knows what dictator stern has written in the script.)

Hornets/Lakers would get better ratings.

yeah, dont u know pargo is a prime time performer? talk about an angle, janerro going back against kobe and the lakers :lolBIG:

:monsters-

The Spurs have been a part of some of the lowest rated finals in NBA history.
The Spurs have always been a small market boring and nonflashy team, and the tv ratings have reflected that.

What does Pargo have to do with anything?

That would be like me saying Luke Walton is a primetime player. What does that prove?
