I just saw the braves do the dumbest move I have ever seen.

Blanco the 8th hitter with 2 out draws a walk.
Now you know that the greatest thing about the 8 hitter getting on base with 2 outs is that the pitcher gets to bat and does not have to lead off the next inning.

What does Blanco do? He steals 2nd base.

What good does that do?

If you steal the base the pitcher is still hitting with 2 outs.
If you get caught the pitcher now has to lead off the next inning.

There is almost no upside to this at all.

I wonder if he did that on his own.

Probably not, but not very smart to say the least.


Maybe that year the Detroit Lions went to overtime and won the coin toss and elected to kick it instead of recieve is the dumbest move I have ever seen.

He did swipe it successfully. Also, Glavine is a pretty good hitting pitcher. I understand where you're coming from, but i don't think it's that big of a deal.
