I saw someone here with a 1999 date and a few with 2000. Is 1999 the year this forum was founded because I haven't seen anyone earlier than that year.

All the 1999's, 2000's and 2001's should sign in to see how many are still around.

They change everyones start date a few years back. Can't remember why it happened but the site was up and going since 1995 and I see guys that have been here since I think my 1st visit in 1996.

There was an upgrade debacle of some sort in Sept 2004 that apparently required resetting everyone's join date & maybe post count(assuming they were signed up before then).

The forum was much smaller in 1999. I joined in the Spring of that year although my join date on the left is a few months later. I started a thread about the defunct Majestic sportsbook and the entire thread got deleted because of the negative effects it was having on the sportsbook and they were a sponsor. Things have changed a bit since then.

I don't know about running the place, but we were moderators at one time, yes. The moderator position, as well as this website and the other similar websites have evolved quite a bit since then. I joined in 1999, and this was a good place to really talk handicapping strategy; there wasn't much drama and off topic stuff.

ALL join dates were changed as was mine.


WISH WE DIDN'T lose all the posts AS WELL. Probably some good stuff and whacky predictions etc. The posts only go back to '03. Which makes it hard to find join date. I know I was posting in 2000 (not that much) mostly in the bases forum I never really knew the OFFSHORE existed or what it was at the time.

**** There are many posters here who never see the offshore only staying in the baseball or football forum etc.

Some posters were posting in 2000 under a different name as well. Either changing their name, ghosting a new, simply forgetting their info and making up a new name etc. etc. BANNED and coming back.
