Rio is pretty far off of the strip, I'd not stay there.

We're probably won't stay there for that reason. Just the fact that the rooms are larger is the only reason it's still a slight option.

Screw the strip. Save your money and stay at one of the friendlier off strip casino's. Like the Stations. Rent a car. It's so far to walk to each casino these days you need a car anyways. Staying on the strip will nickel and dime you to death.

I disagree. If you are going casino to casino, you don't want a car. Monorail, cab,or bus works fine, esp. if you drink at casinos.

Driving there is unpleasant, in particular if you don't know the city.

Bushay, the rooms are comped.

Paris it is, thanks guys.

I was leaning that way because it's new and it's center strip, but my buddy said he really liked the Flamingo. Though he won't mind Paris.

This will be my first trip to LV without my wife. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

Don't get a car unless you plan to go to Lake Mead, Mt Charleston, etc.

The city buses are quite doable, and run frequently.

Harrahs did comp the rooms, but they're really not very good to craps players.

Does MGM or any house give good comps to craps players?

Who has the most and the best craps tables?

I would imagine HET and MGM would be the same rating craps tables. Both should require $25 of table action. Regarding casinos with most craps tables in general that would be Bellagio with 11. Wynn, MGM and MB have 10. Paris should have about 4 tables.
The dump Casino Royale offers up to 100x. Low limits there too. Most strip casinos are 3 -4 -5x odds.

Thanks

I'm spoiled by CT's Indian casinos, they're both great to craps players. I recently learned that's no longer the case in AC, they want slot action and most of the casinos have way less tables than they used to. I'm guessing LV is very similar to AC with respect to rating craps nowadays.

However, I'm still going to have an awesome time, no doubt. I'll just have to buy my meals.

Always enjoy staying at the Hard Rock, My kind of music and the theme never gets old with me. great food too, the Pink Taco has excellent Fajitas and there is usually a cool live act to check out too at the joint.

Been about 4 years, but I love the RIO! I could give a shit how far it is to the strip, it is right next to the Rhino, where all my mornings begin and end anyway!
