Good list.

Jack Morris, Blyleven, Lee Smith, Thurman Munson at C, Edgar Martinez at DH, give some serious consideration to Tim Raines and Albert Belle too.

Joe Jackson & Joe Wood were in their primes from 1910-1920.
All the others peaked from 1930-1980.
Ted Simmons & Blyleven should be listed as some posters mentioned.
Rudy York was primarily a first-basemen (part Indian part firstbaseman)
was the first catcher who came to mind based on his rookie year.
Blyleven will eventually get in!

Great list; Vern Stephens played 3b (not ss) and Rudy York play 1b (not c). No big deal.

Vern Stephens was a shortstop primarily for the STL Browns & The Redsox.
He was traded to Boston before the 48 season. No shortstop ever not even Arod put up the RBI numbers Stephens did fro 48-50. They say he did.nt make the Hall because he was not an outstanding fielding shortstop, however the Sox won the pennant in 46 with Pesky as the SS and when Stephens came to Boston they moved Pesky to 3rd Base.
