"I had the right side", after a loss. How the F can you have the right side if you lose. If it soothes your psyche, fine. You have the "right side" when they pay YOU!! Bad breaks are a part of gambling especially in sports.

I somewhat disagree, Silver, especially in basketball. For example, if you have 10 point dog winning in the entire game, they get tied up late, get into OT, and then lose by 11 or more. Many times I felt I had the right side in hoops and got hosed in the end. However in baseball, I agree with you a little more. Tough beats are usually due to bullpen blowups and lack of clutch hitting which is part of the game.

I Knew There`d Be Disagreement On This One

and I see your point also. I guess what irks me is guys unwilling to just take the loss. Yes, I know it`s hard to do. When we spend hrs capping gms (some of us) and it goes in the crapper, because some overpaid jock screws up an easy play. I had Cubs Sun., game over if Soriano catches an easy fly. But no the A Hole drops it. Did I cap it right? Maybe. Was it the "right side" no! The right side got paid. Just semantics maybe. BOL

Disagree.

When Soriano drops a fly ball in the bottom of the 9th with 2 down and the Cubs lose in the 10th I am on the right side. I feel I capped it right. I feel like that the unforseeable event fucked me out of a win.

Or, when I have the Cubs series and they win Game 1 and lose game 2 and 3 in the bottom of the 9th and then in extras I feel like I capped the series well. I feel like I win one of those games atleast 95% of the time.

Yes, I hate when people whine about losses but there is such thing as being on the right side of a bet.

Spurs ML when they are up 20 in the 3rd vs the Lake Show but Pop pulls Bowen off of Kobe who held him to 2 points in the 1st half and Kobe gets the wheels rolling for the win.

Doesnt exactly make the winning side the wrong side but I feel as if you can be on the right side and lose.

yea have to agree somewhat on that, the pop fly from sori is probably the worst beat ive seen in a while, 2 outs 2 strikes, funny thing if it was one out pirates dont score because the runner is off on contact
