I live in the outskirts of LA and rarely visit there any more (good riddance!). So, when I do end up in town, I make the most of it by taking in some of my favorite sites including a Dodgers game.

I took my girl to Dodgers/Cards on Saturday night and we arrived with plenty of time to the game only to find that parking was $15.00!!!!!

DAMN!

Since when is stadium parking completely out of control? If you've been to Dodger Stadium, you know that street parking isn't much of an option so you're basically forced to take it in the rear!

I'm doing pretty well for myself, hard to complain about money, but even I think that $15 is insane just to leave my car. All I get for that is a spot in the lot and a waiver that basically says "if your car is harmed, don't call us!".

WTF?

i was down there with prepaid parking last month and it was a complete mess. the lot was full but the attendants dont tell you that so they keep saying to drive around looking for spots that arent there. ended goin to a lot further away and walking in. got to my seat by 3rd inning.

Prior to the 2007 season, McCourt announced the Dodgers would be raising the price of parking from $10 to $15. McCourt justified the 50% cost increase by promising to implement a new parking plan that would ease entering and exiting the stadium. [5] Instead, the new plan was quickly deemed a fiasco, with many local journalists calling it "nightmarish" and "a complete disaster." [6] [7] Following opening day, several fans described the situation as one of severe gridlock, complaining that it took nearly two hours both to enter and exit the stadium. [8] McCourt was further criticized for failing to address the situation. McCourt initially declined to comment and later insisted the new plan was a success. [9] Camille Johnston, the Dodgers' senior vice president of communications, subsequently blamed the parking mess on fans who "like to drive in one gate, out the other gate, park in their favorite spot, all those things.

15 bux isn't bad...i think its 20 at the White Sox game. And if you don't find parking on the street for the Cubs, be ready to fork over 30

Last Cubs playoff game I paid $100.00 to park, albeit I sold two extra tickets for a huge profit.

why would you do that?

If you parked downtown for free, you could have taken the train to the game for less than 5 bux round trip

Park in a big free parking lot (grocery store, mall etc.) next to a bus stop and take the bus to the game if you're feeling frugal . Don't know the the exact layout of every city though.

15 bucks is peanuts. I can tell you've never been to Yankee Stadium of Fenway Park.

$15 LOL! I shelled out almost $100 in parking for 4 vehicles to take my baseball team to the Nationals game. And we still had to walk a mile to the stadium. I can feel you on that though parking is a ripoff at most stadiums.

we were runnig late and had to park very close to the park (easy in easy out bullshit)..

sold the other 2 tickets for $450, so it wasn't like I lost money ( I got all 4 for free anyway)

but you are right about your above statement. I just was on a time constraint thing.:toast:

Pretty soon, Ned Yost will have to pay $8 to park at Miller Park.

I went to the dodgers game saturday night as well. I really like the new parking setup at Chavez Ravine -- I got in and out of the lot much quicker than I did at the Arclight movie theatre on Sunset sunday night, so if they need to to charge a bit more to employ the people to help direct traffic and stop the gridlock I don't mind.

If you want to save a buck though, get there early and park along the road for free on academy way (by the police academy). It is just outside where they take your $15 and there is a park with BBQ pits where you can chill and get boozed up if you like -- the cops just ask that you use plastic cups. I pre-gamed there all the time back in the day!
