I can finally say with confidence that the NL is better than the AL.... It has been a while that the AL has been the more dominant league but not anymore...

I wouldnt say they are better but I would say they have closed the gap enough to say that maybe neither league is no longer dominate over the other league anymore.

One thing that for sure shifted is the AL has great young pitching and I think (could be wrong) NL has better young hitters.

i agree 5 star bomb.

i'm going to take the NL to win the All Star game

what's the AL's streak at in that game now? like 15 straight or something? that will be all the hype so I'm going NL.

best pitcher is Webb- NL

Chipper Jones i hitting .418 for christ sakes. this isn't just a couple weeks into the season, we're 2 months in now

AL was a more juiced league and are paying the price now. ebery DH is shit. it used to be that literally it was hard to take any Under in the AL but boy has that changed

Could be some great value in OVERS if/when the weather warms up in the northeast and midwest. Very cold spring helping to driving down totals.

I would agree with that for the most part... However Lincecum is the best young pitcher in the game right now, and Volquez is looking like he could be right up there as well

AL still a good deal better, but gap closing some.

Al not surprisingly ahead easily in interleague this year so far. Just not an accurate post at all by the threadstarter.

Yeah I don't understand it. AL ahead in interleague play once again, and still the better league. People are jumping ship to quickly because of a slow start by a few teams. While the Tigers aren't as good as they were supposed to be, same with Seattle, the Rays and Athletics seem to have taken their spot.

The best pitching is in the AL, BY FAR, if you don't believe me look at the top ERA teams in baseball. That category should be led by the NL because of the DH but the best pitching teams in baseball are in the AL.

Give me the Yankee's, Tigers, Red Sox, Rangers, and a healthy Anaheim lineup over every NL team's offense outside of Philly and maybe the Cubs.

Give me the White Sox, Red Sox, A's, Cleveland, and Toronto's rotation over every NL rotation outside of SD (Who is awful right now) and Arizona.

If you want to argue feel free and I'll discuss, but the gap is smaller because of the likes up Upton and Utley but it still is a good distance away. That's just my opinion but I'd like to argue if you want.

I'd like to add that their is ZERO chance that Brandon Webb is the best pitcher in baseball. He started hot and IS VERY VERY good, but he is not the best. He isn't even the best in his own league. Zambrano, Lincecum and Johan Santana are all better pitchers IMO. If I wanted someone to pitch one game in the NL for my team it'd be Zambrano, Johan, Lincecum and then Webb, but that's just my opinion.

Cole Hammels deserves to be mentioned

4 out of 5 of the best records in baseball are from the American League. Hard to say the NL is better especially when you take a look at the NL West. What a joke.

The AL absolutely killing the NL in intra-league play. The best teams in the NL, like the Cubs and Phillies, are losing and the Cardinals just got swept by the Royals.

If the Cubs lose to the Sox, which seems very likely with how both teams are playing right now, and the Angels beat the Phillies I think it's safe to say that there is still a large gap between the two leagues; I'll add in the Twins beating the D-Backs possibly this weekend. If all those things happen or even two of the three things happen then the gap continues to grow between the two leagues.

I'll add that after watching the White Sox vs. Pirates series I now understand two things: A: Why the Cubs have the best offensive statistics in baseball, and B: Why they are 18 games above .500. Simply amazing how bad the Pirates are. How the fuck is that team only 5 games below .500?

That's flat out embarrassing for the NL. Not only that but the Cubs have played 23 games against the West? Jesus.

If the Cubs win tonight, they are 3-3 vs Toronto and TB, both very strong pitching teams. Cubs may have the hardest interleague schedule, with 6 games vs the ChiSox in the next 9 days. Also have Baltimore at home.

Cards are frauds, with all the injuries.
