This is truely amazing, every issue online in their entirety for FREE!

I was trying to think where to start, so i went to the 1990 issues, and came across a great piece on Todd Marinovich when he was at USC

http://vault.sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1136510/1/index.htm

All this stuff about him being bred to be a QB, no big macs...fascinating stuff, especially when we all know how it worked out!

the articles and stories on here are endless, you can spend months reading it all

I'm starting after this game with the stories they have rated as most popular, then readin reilly. There are stories from over the past 10 years that I remember were great and will re-read them. One of my favorite articles from the last few years was the piece they had Manning write for the big NFL issue they had.

just search "Reilly" (didn't work when I typed in Rick Reilly) and then click on articles and they have them going back in reverse chronological order I think.

i prefer just going issue by issue, starting at a certain time period, the covers themselves tell a good story, then you can click, read all articles on the top left, asnd you are good to go

One of the best articles you'll ever read is about the Villanova Wildcats and the drug abuse of McClain. That was truly amazing stuff.

yeah I was just re-reading their 2004 article about Josh Beckett and Josh Hamilton since the 1999. They also had a great article that year about a pitching prospect from around my area jeff allison who had a big drug abuse issue.. unlike hamilton he never rebounded though.

I stopped reading Sports Illustrated BECAUSE of Rick Reilly. He wrote a horrible feature story about the mistreatment of athletes at my alma mater, The Citadel, back in the fall of '91. The story relied on rumor, innuendo, and lies in an effort to create a picture of a climate that just did not exist. I have written several times to try to get Reilly to apologize for his shoddy reporting. Many Citadel graduates have boycotted SI ever since--I know that I have never spent any money on the magazine since (though I did receive a gift subscription in the late nineties). My old roommate won't even pick up an SI if it is on the table at the doctor's office.

Reilly is a weasel.

I personally know a Citadel grad and he's told me plenty of hazing stories from the Citadel. Just because you didn't witness it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I never can read about that Mag. without thinking of my old high school coach pronouncing it "sports Ill-US-trated".

Find me the one where Hollywood Henderson states he's in Bill Walsh's living room talking about being a 49er and he has a quarter ounce of coke in each pocket.

You'd have to read the article to know what I was talking about. Hazing was a regular occurence there, no doubt about it, but Reilly was off the deep end with what he alleged.

It's a small school and all the barracks are within a golf shot of each other--everyone knows everything. And fast. I was playing cards one night in a room and a kid hung himself in the room next to me. I got a call from a guy two barracks down before I knew about it before I did. And that's twenty years ago--before technology.

I wouldn't walk across the street to piss on Rick Reilly if he was on fire.
