THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL

this guy is a born loser!!!!!!!

I will disagree, M.J will tell you that Collins really helped develop him in to a better player when he came into the league. He took a young team and bulit them into a winning team and a playoff team.

The thing that sucks about this...he's BY FAR the best NBA commentator around. Wish he would stay in the booth. Does such a great job calling a game.

Will miss Collins calling games. He's walking into a great situation - loaded roster + #1 pick

Will he have his son and Wojo on his staff?

He is

Kevin Harlan is a voice...a very good, emphasized voice.

But you're comparing apples & oranges...when I say commentator...I'm meaning, I'm learning from the in-game analysis. Not play-by-play.

Yeah..'RIGHT between the eyes!'...is cute and all. He'll win the cute line battle over Collins every game. But you'll never hear Harlan able to break down an offensive set out of timeout.

Apples-Oranges.

Is this for real? I didn't see this coming at all. Didn't think Collins even wanted to get back into coaching.

The Chicago Bulls' next head coach will reportedly be a familiar face.

Numerous media outlets reported Thursday that the Bulls will hire Doug Collins as their new head coach.

Earlier this month, Collins told ESPN.com's Marc Stein that he had "no interest" in coaching again.

Collins, currently an NBA analyst with TNT, last coached in 2002 with the Washington Wizards. He also coached the Detroit Pistons and the Bulls, compiling a 332-228 record. He has a career 15-23 record in the postseason.

Collins was fired by the Bulls in 1989, despite leading the team to the Eastern Conference finals. He was replaced by Phil Jackson, who went on to coach the team to six NBA titles.

Expected to contend in the Eastern Conference after reaching the second round of the playoffs last season, Chicago plummeted, losing 49 games. Coach Scott Skiles got fired in December, and interim coach Jim Boylan lost his job after the season finale. But suddenly, luck seems to be smiling on the Bulls.

Chicago will pick first overall in the 2008 draft after winning the draft lottery.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
