Other than taking out a pencil and tabulating the #'s does anybody know, or know where to easily find, the % of time the game is decided by more than 3 runs?

Thanks

I don't know about 3 runs, but I saw on another site a few weeks ago that favorites that win do so by more than 1 run 70% of the time. Not saying that favorites win 70% of the time, but when they do win they also cover the run line 70% or more and that was consistent from -120 favorites to -200 or more favorites. I would guess that winning by more than 2 runs would drop to the 40% range. This doesn't take into account how much the underdogs win by. I would say games decided by more than 3 runs either way would be in the 15-20% range, but just a guess.

I"m looking at Brandonhop's theory of betting only the -2.5rl games when the nut is big enough (not really sure how he caps the plays to use) to make the line +300 something and if it's a tool we should be using more often than we do as cappers in general.

Thanks for the info

Something to look at:

The road team gets one more inning of hitting, if they're down. That's one thing that hurts my system.

If we're up 3-0 going into the 9th, and they score one, our team is fine with it. BUT WE'RE NOT!
