This dude scares me just looking at him.
I will be watching to see if this guy is for real or not.

This fight won't tell you anything about whether he is real or not since he's fighting a guy who never takes it to the ground and almost always gets knocked out. Thompson has a punchers' chance but he was obviously handpicked to make Kimbo look good.

PS, I'll still be watching. Scott Smith and Jon Murphy are great dog bets. Baroni as well.

ESPN the Magazine has a story on him this week... played a little college football then was living out of his car (down by the river, I believe) and started bouncing at a bar, then was the muscle at some porn film place (I don't know why he ever got out of that gig), then got in some alley fights, which were videotaped and put on the Tube, and started doing this. He has four or five fights, but there are serious questions about how good he really is. This must be like a minor-league of cage fighting. The UFC (or is it UCF?) guys questioned the piss out of him in the article. He claims his kids are his guiding light. If I remember right, the guy he fights tonight was KOd in a couple of minutes by Butterbean--now there was fighter.

For real or not? Based on this joke of a fight - when the bell rings - Thompson is going to sprint straight at Kimbo - and within 15 seconds eat a punch and go down - what time is this fight? - I'm interested only for the stare down - this may be the best stare down of all time

His boy "icey mike" is one fun mother ****** to party with. His is the guy that owns the porn website that includes 8th street latinas and in the VIP.

Seen Kimbo a few times, but really not much of a talker.

2 pro fights and one amateur fight. He is undefeated but the amateur one was against a very old former boxer with no MMA experience. The first pro fight was against Bo Cantrell and it looked like a fix as sure as I've ever seen. The guy got hit once by a glancing elbow, went to the ground, and tapped out. Never even took damage. The last fight was legit but it was against Tank Abbott who is way past his prime and out of shape and Kimbo beat him easily. James Thompson is a slight step up in competition but gets knocked out all the time and never takes the fight to the ground so he's the perfect matchup for Kimbo to get the win.

He lost to some cop from Chicago or Detroit in a underground MMA fight.

Yea it was Sean Gannon. The UFC actually gave Gannon a fight based on the popularity of that video and Gannon got destroyed in like a minute by a guy who was a pretty damn average fighter who didn't last in the UFC long. Kimbo can stand and bang with most guys but his ground game will need alot of work. That is why he is matched against guys that won't take him down and like to get knocked out.

Sorry, I didn't mean destroyed but Gannon took it to him until Kimbo had nothing left. I'm sorry guys but I've watched about 10 Kimbo videos and I'm not impressed at all with him. If he takes a shot to the jaw and goes down to the ground against an experienced fighter he's done.

He also got knocked to the ground against a 400 pound bouncer... by a jab... Kimbo eventually wins by cheapshooting the guy while he tries to get out of the garage and back into the yard but this dude is a product of hype and nothing else right now.
