MSFT was recently added to my portfolio.

This company, however some may choose to bash it, is full of earning power and sitting on tons of cash.

Great time to buy on it's current dip in my opinion.

After this whole confrontation with Yahoo plays out, this stock should perform nicely, whether they buy any or all of Yahoo or not.

Agriculture has been a great way to play the market the past year. Fertilizer stocks have gone up 100+% .......such as POTASH.

For the first time in my life, up more in the stock market than gambling at this point in the year(this is more of a case of running bad gambling than it is having a super year in the stock market though).

cardsfan, i often post stuff in that sell sell sell thread in the political forum.

the united states is a bankrutpt country, so make your investments accordingly.

im still as bearish as ever intermediate term regarding real estate, and long term i remain a commodity bull.

still too many people out there "buying the dip" thinking they are getting bargains in real estate...clearly thats laughable.

the real estate bottom will be within sight when most of the people now buying foreclosures are also bankrupt.

gold will be multiple thousands per ounce before this bull market completes its course and silver will be over 100.

also will be further huge moves in metals such as platinum an palladium.

fishhead, are you still waiting to buy that florida condo...the same one that people here and elsewhere said was impossible to ever fall in price?

i think you can find alot better value out there instead of buying microsoft, but good luck.

Hey Woof,

I was chatting with my buddy from the mining company and he said this about NSV.V.

don't fully understand, could you help make sense of it?

He said watch for NSV.V after june 8th

"they hit hydrocarbons (natural gas - oil) on a section in northern bc that wasent all that favourable, its a few km away from existing pipeline after they hit the next rule was to get a flow test rig out there so they could model the flow rates (provides an evualation of potential montlhy revenues) but due to road bans (not allowed to send heavy machinery on the roads due to thaw)
in theory you can but you have to pay a fine
some of the bigger compnaies pay the fines
so the deal here is that after june 8th the flow rig will be onsite and will provide a model of what they could tie to the pipeline
on top of this they still have 3 other sections to drill (they have 4 in total)
the one they drilled was deemed to be the least favourable outta the 4 and that one hit
at .29/.30 level im sitting onto 100k shares waiting
take a look at when they were drilling.. ran up to a 4yr high
Getting in now could prove to be advantageous depending on you tolerance of risk in the venture markets

i like the leverage a .30 stock affords vs a 1.90/3.00"

Yes. I got some shares on its way down at 26 and grabbed many more at 19.5... It went back up to 33 but now it's sitting at 28. I think it will be a solid long term investment.
