having one great starter and a very average bullpen doesn't bode well in the playoffs.

I will bump this thread in October when they win it all

:toast:

You know what would be awesome...you should bet somebody that if they don't win the world series...you'll leave the RX...those kinds of Bets are always entertaining. I heard about this other guy who did that last year...I forget his handle...it didn't matter anyways...

Average bullpen? That is one of the funniest things I have heard in a while. Marmol is one of the best middle relievers in the game, Wuertz,Howry, are both solid. Eyre and Cotts are both doing good from the left side so far, and Wood is doing a nice job in the 9th. Oh and for SP well Dempster is pitching lights out this year

Enough already with the profane responses.

Stay out of the thread if you cannot post civilly.

Win it all?
You must know something will happen to prevent that.

Awesome. You'd think after 100 years of nothing but failure, cubs fans would learn to wait until, I don't know... late October to start celebrating and would go out of their way to not jinx them. I guess not. What makes you people so stupid? I hate to break it to you, but it's the beginning of June, dumbasses. If you think Dumpster is an even decent number 2 starter, especially come playoff time, you're sadly mistaken. I can't wait to laugh at all of you as i revel in your failures. You're all such fucking losers. Why can't you see that?

Post of the day....Cubs will and always find a a way to screw it up. :103631605

Agreed. Maybe he'll actually be able to honor this bet in a timely fashion too, since it doesn't involve paying like $100, which apparently takes him months to do.

I'd wager posting privileges with him on this if I thought he'd honor his word if the Cubs don't win it all...but I doubt he would.

I hope the Cubs do make the WS and win it, but they are hot against the likes of the feeble NL West right now. It is only the beginning of June. Weren't the Brewers up 10 games at this point last year in the division?

Cub bullpen is pitching well, but using ERA as a bullpen judgement stat is misleading a bit. Reliever comes in with bases loaded, two outs and gives up a three run triple followed by a ground out, the starter gets all 3 runs credited to their ERA. The bullpen gets nada. Inherited runners is also a meaningful stat when measuring bullpens.

wuertz and howry are gas cans.....marmol is amazing and wood is doing a great job....they need an another starter and maybe 2 more arms in the pen along with another bat off the bench(not jim edmonds)....but i too think they come out of the NL. Should be big buyers at the deadline.
