Could you imagine how many homers Jr would have right now if he never got hurt?

We are talking maybe something insane like 950 homers if he never got hurt.

Bruce is looking really good. Who do you think ends up with the most?

OK, first they said Bruce would develop power in the big leagues. He didn't have big time power right now but he will develop it.

Second of all please understand what having 50 home run pop means. A lot of players have that type of pop. And I am sure no scout ever said 50 because I've never really heard a scout reference fifty since it's such a lofty number; I've heard forty though. Having that pop means you have the potential to hit a lot of home runs. That doesn't mean 600!!!! Prince Fielder has 50 home run pop. That doesn't mean he's going to get 600. Jesus Christ that fact that you think this, and others agree is outrageous. Guy has played for two fucking weeks.

You guys think that Bruce has a shot at hitting 500? Shit I think so. Look at his numbers right now.

This isn't speculation. It's fucking blasphemy. Once Griffey hits #600, there will be a total of SIX players in the history of the game who will have reached that mark, two of which probably took steroids.

Mark McGwire, Frank Robinson, Mickey Mantle, Jimmy Foxx...all great home run hitters, none of which made it to 600.

Bruce has been playing in the majors for all of a week, and you're ready to say "it's only a matter of staying healthy" before he reaches this historic figure?
