Still new to eBay. Having some success with it, but still learning the ropes.

What's the best day to end an auction? I see quite different results depending on when mine end but I cant quite narrow down the best time yet. Any of you eBay gurus know the best day to end an auction for sports equipment?

Sports equippment. The best time would be a Wednesday Night at 8 Central time. All time zone should be home from work or whatever from 6pm-9pm at this time and Wednesday night is a good night in the middle of the week. You dont want to end it on a weekend night because people will be out or even wknds arnt great either during the day bc most people are out doing things

I would say Sunday night also but if you have something that you might think might make big money with a would say a 10 day auction start it on Thursday night and end on Sunday night.

i also make sure they end on sunday night. I make a killing off ebay and sundays are always my best days. Friday night is my 2nd biggest day believe it or not.

i understand the logic behind sunday but i would think friday. typically that is when people loosen the purse strings and are ready to spend some coin on something they otherwise might pass on.

Many people go out Fridays/Saturdays. You can find the best deals then. Best nights to sell are Sunday/Monday/Tuesday nights ending around 10:00

Everyone thinks Sunday night people are on the computer less on sunday night than any other time. Wednesday night is the best about 8-9 est. I have researched this for the last 13 years. Thursday used to be good until the tv shows got better rating ie Survivor.

Depends on the product, IMO... middle of a weekday afternoon allows you to reach bored middle-class office workers/compulsive buyers. Lots of these people do most of their Web browsing while at work. Works well for small-ticket items and misc. junk.

Sunday night seems better for high-priced niche items/collectibles. Your target audience makes a note to be near a computer that night and a bidding war is more likely.

Haven't sold serious stuff on eBay for over 5 years, but I used to trade guitars and accessories pretty heavily.

I appreciate all the replies.

Sunday seems to be the most popular and I found an article that also supports that. So, I'll try that and then move to Wednesdays if needed.

thanks again!
