Would Bulls trade No.1 pick for Wade?

Dwyane Wade says he keeps hearing his name mentioned in trade rumors involving the Bulls and Miami Heat. Would the Bulls give up the No. 1 draft position to the Heat in exchange for Wade and the No. 2 overall selection? Or some combination of other players and picks?
"I have heard my name being talked about, and I can't worry about it," Wade said Monday at the Attack Athletics training facility on the West Side. "There is one thing in this league that you have no control over. If another organization wants you, then you should feel good to be wanted."
Wade grew up idolizing Michael Jordan while starring at Richards High School and then Marquette.
"I have a lot of history with the Bulls," Wade said. "And for them to come out with the first pick like that (with a 1.7 percent lottery chance) ... it was fitting that they would do something like that. Nobody thought that would happen. To be in that position and sit back and listen to anything and go back to a team and say: 'How about this? and 'How about that?' ... If [the Bulls] don't make any big moves like that, they're still going to have a great player."
Memphis guard Derrick Rose and Kansas State forward Michael Beasley are expected to go 1-2 in the draft.

This is one of the most retarded rumors I've ever heard. The Heat trading the #2 AND Wade for the #1 pick. Would immediately be one of the top 5 worst trades ever. I know the original source is the Tribune and they are homers, but Yahoo should not be promoting this garbage

The rumor is actually the Bulls trading the #1 pick and two players like (Deng and Noicioni, Heinrich and maybe Deng or Heinrich and someone else) for Wade and the number 2. The Heat really want Rose and they are scared Wade is injury prone and they fear that once he has the option to opt out that he is going to sign with Chicago anyway. Riley isn't high on Beasley and he loves Rose.

Okay that rumor makes a little more sense, but still Chicago is getting way too good of a deal. D Wade is a Top 10 player in the league.

My god....some of these user comments.......

Wade is now no longer 100%. The Wade that won a NBA title is gone. The Bulls will be getting a guy with a big contract who won't be worth the money. The Bulls should only say yes if it will be the draft rights to Beasley along with maybe Kirk Hinrich for Wade and the draft rights to Rose. If not, no deal.

why would the bulls trade the 1st pick for a guy that hasnt done anything since the nba finals. wade is 2 beat up and hate to say it, is on the down side of a once promising career due to his hobbled knees. any body that has played fantasy b-ball and had wade on their team the last couple yrs will back me up.

i still cant figure out if wade is a pg or sg. w/ rose you know what you got, one of the best pg in da league. d-wade WAYYYYYY OVERRATED nowadays.

Wade has been a shadow of his former self since they won the championship. He has been hurt and often once these guys break down, they stay broken. I think it would be a smart move for the Heat and a dumb move by the Bulls, so as a Cav's fan, I hope they do it. I think the days of Wade being a dominant force in this league are over unfortunately, at least for full seasons at a time.

As a Bulls fan I will be going crazy if they get Wade. They need a superstar. Wade when healthy, his last full season when they won the title that is, was the best player in basketball IMO. Took over games and dominated late. Him and Kobe were right up there next to each other that season.

If he gets healthy and stays healthy he will be dominating.

I really do think he opts out and comes to Chicago anyway because everything is here. He loves the Bulls and loves the city and it's been his dream to follow in Mike's footsteps.

We'll see though but I wouldn't be shocked if this trade went through and I would have been shocked if the Kobe trade did. I still don't think it makes much sense for the Heat but Riley loves Rose and really wants him. He also wants to get young and start over and fears the injuries of Wade. Shit I would take Wade for the #1 pick honestly. The odds that Rose is as good as Wade is slim to none.

Obviously Chicago would do good research on the status of Wade's recovery. If expected to be a full one, you do the deal yesterday. Unbelievable player. People forget that he won a title by himself not long ago.

After that series I thought he was on his way to becoming the best in the league by far. Injuries hurt him but he has that potential. Talk about having "IT".

I hope this goes down in some way, shape or form. I'd give up any two Bulls and the number 1 pick for Wade and the number 2 pick.

wade was never the best player in basketball and never will be. he had a great playoff that year and was helped by the refs in winning the ring.

he told you he loves the bulls and then told you about his dreams?

and now you know what riley thinks and wants?

you know what i think? better not, wil would get pissed.

Wade
Marcus Banks
Mark Blount
#2 pick

for

Nocioni
Larry Hughes
Drew Gooden
#1 pick

Bulls could roll with

Hinrich/Banks
Wade
Deng/Sefalosha
Tyrus Thomas/Gray/Blount/etc.
Beasley

Heat

Rose
Hughes/Nocioni
Marion
Gooden
Haslem

Personally I think Paxson wants Beasley but he's worried about the backlash of passing on Rose because he's a Chicago kid. But if you pull the trigger for Wade then you're bringing in a proven Chicago kid and getting the guy you really want in Beasley. Wade can opt out of Miami in two years so the Heat might as well move him. I think it would be a good trade for both teams.

Wase was virtually unstoppable before he got hurt. Even started making perimiter shots. No better time than post season to shine, and he did and then some. Fearlessly taking it to the hoop and got fouled time and time again because they couldn't stop him. Some were touchy, but there was always contact. Obvious how they were calling the game so don't do it. Dallas didn't adjust, just kept fouling.

I don't think Wade will ever be 100% again. He played injured during those finals also.

I think the series line is dead on. Lakers far better IMO, but that format is tough on them in a way. I think they will be up 3-2 heading back to boston and will get one of the two. Probably game 6.

Those rumors are very different. I don't see the Bulls trading Deng. And if they're not picking Rose then I don't see them trading Hinrich. Maybe something like:

Bulls get:
#2 pick
Wade
a salary cap "filler:

Heat get:
#1 pick
Ben Gordon (sign and trade)
Drew Gooden

Basically Wade for Gordon, Gooden and a pick swap.

Bulls run with:
Hinrich/Sefolosha PG
Wade/Hughes SG
Deng/Nocioni SF
Beasley/Thomas PF
Noah/Gray C

Hughes is a negative, but Gooden's deal isn't too bad, I think. Makes more sense for both teams for the Bulls to sign and trade Ben Gordon.

The contracts almost have to match moron. Show me a trade the bulls could make with their CURRENT contracts that don't involve Larry Hughes and would be reasonable for both teams. Gooden's contract expires at the end of the year.

If Gordon did and a sign and trade, wouldn't that count in terms of matching? I think Miami would rather have Gordon than Hughes and Gordon would have no place at all if the Bulls brought in Wade to play with Hinrich.
