Mike Mussina, tied for the lead in the AL in wins with 9.... who would have thought?!?!

with all the problems the yanks are having with the rotation and the bullpen, at least there is one very bright spot noone was anticipating at the beginning of the season

if he has 10 or 11 wins before the all star break, what do you think the chances are he makes the all star team?

As any RX'er that knows me will tell you I am the biggest Moose fan there is, even when he was an Oriole I loved him, and I am a die hard Yankee fan.

As far as the AS game goes, I think Francona realizes the game will be in Yankee stadium and will be a crowd favorite.

My guess is, if Moose doesn't fall flat on his face his next seven starts, Francona chooses him to his staff.

if he wins 16+ this year i think the yanks try and bring him back as their 4th or 5th starter next year for a good price

where moose never won a cy young or never had that 20 win season, he has had plenty of 18/19 win seasons and has been 1 strike away from pitching perfect games, no hitters, etc.

moose pitched in the steroid era and has been consistently good throughout his career even when his "stuff" has not been what it used to be he has been able to adjust to make it work for him

no pitcher will ever get 300 wins again so using that as a milestone for the HOF is now ridiculous

mussina IS a future hall of famer
