Pelfrey is not in this guy's league and even the lowly Padres can beat him.

Dodgers stadium facts:

When two starters in this ballpark combine for not more hits than innings pitched and at least 3 K more than BB, the UNDER record year-by-year is:

2008: 10-1 (4.7 RPG)
2007: 19-3 (5.2 RPG)
2006: 13-3 (5.9 RPG)
2005: 24-8 (6.7 RPG)
2004: 21-9 (6.5 RPG)

These two starters are definately capable of accomplishing that goal. On May 26th @ CHC they allowed 11 hits in 13 IP and had 10 K vs 5 BB. The final score was 3-1. And that wasn't even the best game for either one of these two pitchers.

Look at their YTD numbers:

Dempster 51H in 75.1 IP. 63K vs 33BB. (AWAY: 15H/26 IP)
Billingsley 53H in 65.2 IP. 71K vs 34BB. (L3: 12H/20 IP)

And if we add home runs allowed by the starters, here is what we get out of our initial equation.

0 HR allowed by starters: 34-4 UNDER
1 HR allowed by starters: 34-8 UNDER
2 HR allowed by starters: 16-9 UNDER

Dempster has allowed more than 1 HR in a start only once in 12 starts YTD. He hasn't allowed a HR in more than half of his starts YTD (7/12). He has allowed only 6 HR in over 75 innings pitched.

Billingsley has not allowed more than 1 HR in any of his 11 starts and 2 relief appearences. He has allowed a HR in only 3 of his 13 appearances (65.2 IP).
