They don't even list the author by their name, just initials "MJD". WTF?

Here's what the author said about the all-time most gay helmet ever (the Tampa Gay pirate):

"The Bucs discontinued this glorious creation in 1996, but it feels like it's been ten lifetimes since I've seen it. Not a day goes by that I don't wake up and miss that swashbuckling son of a gun winking at me like I just brought him breakfast in bed."

Is the author a woman or a gay man?

Here's one of the comments that I agree with:
"That honestly looks like the worst helmet list ever."

QL, these were my thoughts...gay or female author.

Pet obsession of mine - football helmets - and I only agree w/ the Chargers from that list.

Gotta have the current helmets from the Vikings, Eagles, Seahawks, Lions, Saints, '63 Raiders, '64 Oilers, '69 Jets, '60's Chargers & '90's Falcons.

Cardinals. If they ever had historic teams to ingrain the image it would be a slam dunk. My second choice is old school Browns and old Eagles with the plain green and split wings (the subtle wing split along structural plastic helmet ridge worked artistically and anatomically better than their modern mono winged metallic eye-glaze replacements. I like some of the newer designs like Ravens. Thinking back, I see a bird theme pecking.
