Tonight Tyler Clippard Makes his debut as a National in Washington's Nationals Park. He has been brought up to Replace Odalis Perez which means if he pitches well he just may earn a spot in the rotation. While playing for AAA Columbus this season Clippard has posted a 3.41 Era and struck out 59 batters in 60.2 innings which makes him one of the elite pitching prospects in the minors this season. The away team Giants are starting pitcher Matt Cain who is 2-4 on the season and 1-2 lifetime against the Nationals. His yearly Era is 4.67 and has been decent but the giants have lost the last three games he has pitched in.
