A lot of pent-up frustration in that ball-club right now. Hurley is supposedly the prized prospect but he's done nothing really in minor league ball and has a 5+ era. Bannister's a better day-game pitcher than at night, despite being shelled against Red Sox and Yanks. Just because of the Gobble factor, Royals first 5 innings seems like a decent bet. Thoughts?

i like the idea of playing first 5. No matter how good of a prospect they are they almost always tend to struggle in debuts. Bannister def has the pitching advantage and are desperate for a win after a few brutal losses. First 5 is a great idea b/c if Texas gets into their bullpen who knows what will happen. GL

You and Brock square, betting against debuts.

I rarely am on other side, but love my boy Bannister.

Call me Captain Square, tonight. Just cash me.

I wouldn't consider betting against the kid if he put decent numbers up in the minors, but I think the Rangers are reeking of desperation here with the starting rotation in really bad shape (when isn't it). I don't think he's ready yet for the big leagues, but the franchise is trying to make up for the losses of danks and volquez.

I'm still waiting on lineups. The Royals BP is fine when Mahay, Ramirez, or Soria get work, but Hillman has said that he needs to rotate more because they're getting drained physically.

Bannister's style does scare me with his heavy dependence on ground outs. But, he does have the ability to shut down lineups. It all depends on who the Rangers bring to the field today.

Exactly, Royals bullpen really isn't that bad. Mahay, Ramirez, and Soria all got rest in last nights ballgame. Bannisters Home numbers are way better than his road and overall numbers. He also performs better in day games. I like my chances laying small home chalk with Bannister,

Over seems very probable, the Rangers are fielding a decent unit out there and Royals are fielding some lefties. But, I'm already on Bannister. GL.
