i turned the game off, i consider this comeback a fucking miracle, i mean not only do they cover, but win outright?! That was an impossibility the way they were playing!

Damn that would have been a sick bet. I had $100 on the Celtics ML and chalked it up as a loser after the buzzer beater 3 by Farmar at the end of the half. Never thought they'd come back.

What was the second have boston -17. I didn't even look at it. Hell, I didn't even play the -2.5, thinking this was one of those games.

Seemed like the Lakers took the 2nd half off, until the lead was down to 6, then they started playin again.

There was a game 3-4 years ago where Seattle was down like 24; I forget who it was against. Anyway, those of us who had Seattle started a come back thread. They came back and covered (forget what the # was) It was a truly sick comeback!

This game happened back in the day when Tate and Zapster were ripping up the NBA with their patented "Agreed Plays"

had celts ml also and was just watching the MLS game on espn2.

...then they had their usual score alert on the bottom and it was 72-61 with 2:58 left. the rest is history (literally!)

SundayTiger, I don't know you and don't have any reason to think that you aren't an awesome capper/basketball fan. Please don't take this the wrong way...

But from my experience with watching NBA games, and any basketball game for that matter, how the hell did you or anyone else think that this game was over after 24 minutes, with 24 minutes left to play?

I have watched thousands of games, and one thing that I know for sure is that a 20-something point deficit is NOT THAT MUCH, especially in the NBA. If a team is able to bring that deficit to 10 by the beginning of the fourth quarter (which is very doable, and the least of what they need to do to have a great chance), the game is definitely NOT OVER... and that is the least conservative. In my mind, having coached basketball, if my team is within 10 points with 6 minutes, we have a great chance to win the game!

It shocks me to know end that people watching the game, including so-called expert commentators (like Jeff Van Gundy, who I am actually a fan of), can state that the game is over in the first 20 minutes of the game.

I am a Laker fan, and I realize that there is an inherit bias that comes with that, and I will state my position to be clear. However, I don't think that changes what I have said above.
