In honor of VD's "Celtics not to make the playoffs" bet, I decided to create this thread. I didn't title the thread "worst bet you've ever made" because worst could mean a lot of things, e.g. overlooking an injury or other obvious indicators, forcing a bet for way too large because you craved the action or were chasing, etc. But this is for the bets that lost by the largest margin and never had a shot, like when you take a baseball game under 8.5 and the road team tops the total in the top of the 1st and the final is like 22-16. :103631605

Although I didn't wager on it, I thought the RAYS under 72.5 wins was a very, very solid investment.

Who knows though, it still may be. :)

Hard to say in actual wagers, as I've made literally 100,000's of wagers over my lifetime, many of which were dead right out of the barn.

I had bowling green in the bowl game vs tulsa this year.

Largest bowl game loss blowout ever.

I felt like a bird without wings holding that ticket.

OU v. USC, Orange Bowl.

Artie Lange once told a story where he action pointed the over in a Pacers/Knicks playoff game for something like $1k/point, turned out it was the lowest scoring playoff game in history. He lost something like $60k.

Lol, I had BG also in this game. I also had Texas +3 over Memphis in the tourney this year. What a joke that game was.

Game (as i remember it) went 3 ots and at the time was the longest game in NFL history. Eagles won in 3rd OT.... 6-3 !

No offense, either you story is complete fabrication or you mixed up the teams. The Eagles and Ravens can't play 3 OT game unless it is in overtime of the Super Bowl.

I did a 10 team parlay once and lost 9. Didn't lose much but it was ugly.

Bet Toledo a few years back when they were playing Kent State. I got "inside information" that Bruce Gradkowski was going to play when he was listed a doubtful, of coarse he sat. I think the line was something like Toledo -10.5 or something in that ball park.

Final score: Toledo 14, Kent State 40.

My buddy still gives me shit on that one.
