I can't think of very many.

A shop that sells/repairs bicycles and scooters, and sells accessories should be one.

Maybe a gun shop ?

Perhaps a liquor store... people buy there instead of a bar ?

nearly everything I can think of should be hurt by gas prices.

stuff like restaurants,bars,airlines,casinos,auto industry, anything involving driving,etc.

I think gas stations make very little profit in selling gas. Exxon Mobil announced that they are selling all of their gas stations.

Oil & gas exploration business is in bloom. My wife is back at work as a petroleum landsman/attorney. A business that she loves but had to get out of in the late 80's bust.

At every level the cost of products have increased, their charge of .025% has remained constant.

example
2yrs ago gas = 2.00 x 20 gal = 40.00x.025=1.00 to visa & m/c

now
4.00x20gal=80.00
80.00x.025=2.00 to visa & m/c

as the cost of goods continue to rise their profits have doubled without overhead increasing any on their end.

car repossesor GUYS.

STATE TAX Collectors,
SOME STATES are in a windfall where gas spending in up 50% in some cases in a given business. Why should the government try to reduce the price????

if they got 15% of 20K gas spending last year, 15% of 30K is better. That is the case in Illinois and many other DEMOCRATIC taxing states.

I don't think siphoning gas is a huge problem. How does one expect to get away with it ? If you siphoned 5 gallons into a can, it would be heavy ( like 40+ lbs), you would look suspicious, takes time, and is only $22.

Illinois charges a % of price verses a flat tax per gallon?

I think you are very wrong and are thinking very small time.

Small time or not, I remember this type of theft being common and its on rise again.

People park cars next to another car and empty the entire tank.

When you start talking about truck stops, its a $500-1k theft.

I think many eat some of it.

If you have a restaurant and raise prices to compensate, you risk driving away customers, for example.
