Have no idea where Lawrence is getting his days of the week numbers. Cards on Saturday are 7-3 and 3-2 at home. Phillies are 3-7 but away they are 2-2. That being said the Cards are 11=0 in game 2 of a series after a loss so the pick could easily be right but the process he used to arrive at it remains a mystery.

Harden is 11-1 in his last 12 team starts versus a team with a less than .500 winning percentage, 16-5 with his last 21 team starts on the road, and 37-14 with his last 51 team starts overall. His adversary Matt Cain is 2-5 in his home team starts in 2008 with a 4.57 ERA and is 0-2 in his career home team starts versus Oakland with a 5.11 ERA. Billy, I respect your picks but Cinnci is such an up and down team. I know Boston's road record but they are dangerous in this spot if you look at the second game in any series when they lose the first they are 72% this year.

The A's are among the American League's top teams and should roll tonight against a Giant team that struggles at home. San Francisco has lost 10 of its last 12 at home, where it is a major league-worst 13-20. In addition,
Oakland has won six of its last seven games against San Francisco, posting a 1.83 ERA in that span. The Giants have scored just one run in their last 30 innings against the Athletics?all at home?after a 5-1 loss on Friday. Tonight's starter for Oakland is Rich Harden (3-0, 2.85 ERA).
The right-hander has been excellent in his starts in this Bay Area rivalry, going 1-0 with a 1.17 ERA in three starts. Matt Cain gets the call for the Giants tonight and his numbers pale in comparison to those of Harden. Cain (3-4, 4.43) will be out to stop a five-game interleague losing streak. He?s 0-5 with a 5.26 ERA in his last six outings against the AL. In all due respect to the Giants, if Benji Molina is your clean-up hitter, your going to have trouble scoring runs. Take the A's to make it two straight over the Giants.

Mets -160 over Rangers--STOP THE PRESS--The Mets win two in a row ! Pedro does the job at Shea and beats Gabbard and those tough Texas bats. Hamilton is a beats ! NY is playing for Willie's ass, but he's still getting fired--unless they sweep the Rangers this weekend--which they might !

ARIZONA -180 over Kansas City--The Big Unit works over the Royals in the desert. Johsnon hasn't been dominant this season, but he'll look good Saturday night against KC (13-24 on road)

Oakland -125 over San Francisco--Harden is just too tough for the light hitting Giants. TAKE THE UNDER 7 RUNS--Cain will make it difficult for the A's and I'm thinking this one will be low scoring ! Harden is 3-0 with a 2.85 ERA and SF is 13-19 at home. The A's move to .500 on the road across the Bay.
