I like the Cubbies at +160 very much. Yes, they are going against Halladay but he is definitely hittable. Cubs are due for a win. I just like the value in this one. You guys disagree?

Halladay just looks too strong:

*He's won his last 5 starts. (last time he won 6 straight was in Cy Young year of 2003)
*In his last 6 starts, he's 5-0, with a 2.72 ERA. In 39.2 innings over that span, he's struck out 34 and walked only 2.
*This season, he's 4-1, with a 3.07 ERA at home.
*In his last 20 home starts, Halladay is 15-2 with a 3.11 ERA.
*In ten home interleague starts, Halladay is 8-1 with a 2.97 ERA.

I am on Tor RL +125. I agree it is very good value on the Cubbies, however, Marquis might get lit up like a xmas tree.

I'm thinking Blue Jays RL myself:

Marquis has lost his last three starts in American League parks, with a 13.20 ERA

why would the cubs be due for a win? they have won 4 out of last 5. if anyone is due it should be toronto who hasnt won b2b games since may 30th.

just the fact that you said the word "DUE" makes me take toronto

Jays winning on the -1.5 runline seldom happens ...

Yeah, nothing is ever "due" in sports. However, it's hard to pass up on the team with the best record and offense in baseball, especially at that price. The Cubs alternative runline looks very interesting...

I apologize for the poor word choice there. Haha. Just have a gut feeling on the Cubs today, we'll just have to see. Bluebird, I agree on the Cubs RL, very interesting.

This is baseball, I could be pitching and there is a chance the Nationals and I could beat Cole Hamels and the Phils offense.

Is there good value on the Cubs, YES. However, Doc is one of the best pitchers in baseball and has finally found his groove. I am on TOR RL. Again, no disagreement on the value, but the Cubs offense has been slumping the past 2 games. 3 runs in extra innings and 2 runs yesterday. Many times when a pitcher can contain a team like AJ did last night, you see a repeat performance.

Go Jays, Good luck to all.

zeke, Rios led off last night too and had a great night including two doubles. Definitely like him in that spot.

I hate Saturdays when there are no early games on DirecTV Extra Innings and I have to wait to painfully listen to McCarver and Buck.

Is Halladay going to get any run support today? Doesn't seem like the BlueJays ever score when the betting public is on their coat tail.
