This is a personal struggle that I am trying to work through, here is the deal. I am a lifelong reds fan and will always be a reds fan. However, after watching all 3 games against boston this weekend I really like how they play. I love Sean Casey and Youk is a Cincinnati guy who was actually in HS the same time I was in a neighbor school.

A. Can you root for 2 teams, even if they are in different leagues
B. I really don't like Boston fans and dislike every other team from Boston
C. I'm not a big fan of ManRam

Whats the general opinion :toast:

From observing others I think all you have to do is buy the hat and a Red Sox Nation tag for the front and/or back of your vehicle. Oh, you also have at least a 4th cousin twice removed that is from Boston. Every one you talk to now has family from Boston.

red sox fans are the biggest bandwagon fans in all of sports. everyone jumped on after the last world series.

Yea, thats the biggest thing, I hate to bandwagon, I'd be more happy if they weren't very good, but I really like the players, they seem to go hard every ab, especially that lead off hitter Elsby(sp), love the way that guy plays

Waaahhhhh

My team sucks... so I'll criticize Boston and it's fans ... blah blah blah

Where do I criticize Boston? Yes, their fans for the most part are pretty annoying.

btw, this year may be a little tough with the young guys but I really think they are building a very solid nucleous

I'm not criticizing their fans, they have some of the best "real" fans in baseball. I'm criticizing people who became fans after their recent run of success and use lame reasons to validate it.

Oh no.....much, much earlier. Denver was a torn town when so many people were forced to choose between the home town Cinderella story and their beloved Sox.

No, you can't. The bandwagon is more than full as is. However, you can gain acceptance into Red Sox Nation (nothing is gayer than Sox fans referring to themselves as members of Red Sox Nation) if you kill Ben Affleck. This way you would be freeing up a spot as a Sox fan, while also ridding the public of many horrible movies that he'll surely be involved with in the future.

Will be in Boston the week of the 23rd and going to the Red Sox/Diamondbacks game and will be sitting behind home plate with JoeyFitz and a couple of other guys...can never be a RedSox fan, although have respect for certain Boston athletes...

I like Ramirez, and I love Big Papi, but I would never, ever cheer for the Red Sox. I never thought I'd say this, but if the Yankees and Sox played each other in the ALCS (won't actually happen because the Yanks won't make the playoffs) I'd have to cheer for the Yanks just because Boston fans are becoming so annoying, and since the Pats will most likely win the Super Bowl I don't think I'd be able to put up with Boston fans if they won football, baseball and basketball.

I like the same teams I have liked since 5 years old and can't see changing now.

I may root for a certain team b/c I like a player or how they play but would never consider myself as there fan...

Whatever happened to loyalty? My teen aged son and his friends change teams at the same rate they try different pussy. It's hard to take them seriously when talking sports.

Different times I guess.

I agree 100%...especially here in the age of Fantasy sports.

festering zit jumped on the bandwagon too, he'll have you believe otherwise
:dogtoilet:

Dsethi,

I'm losing respect for you very quickly with your continued lies on here.

You've just about lost any credibility you have with me. Why post
a ridiculous statement about someone you honestly know nothing
about?

I am almost 43 years old, and grew up in New England. I've been
avidly following the Boston teams since I started following sports in 1977.

31 years, if that's jumping on the band-wagon, then so be it.

hahahahahaha
i was joking
calm down bandwagon fan

and stop with this whole 'lies' bullshit - do you know what a lie is? I made one misinformed assumption and now you accuse me of being a liar, which didn't even invalidate my blanket statement about your blatant homerism Do I really need to refer to your **only** statement again to illustrate your pathetic backtracking?

jokes man, jokes. get off the bandwagon already. lol i had been waiting all day for your response. now that i got it, i love it even more. I knew you'd take it seriously, just like all other bandwagon fans in denial.

Seems like you live to try and irritate people? I'm supposed to read
between the lines of your statement and somehow know you were
joking?

I'm glad that since you waited all day for a response, that I came
through for you.

I'll refrain from retaliating. Have a nice day Dsethi.
