I think he's getting too much blame, but he has too much talent on that team to be playing .500 ball, especially in the NL.

What a d!ck move for Minaya to wait until Willie and his staff are across the country before firing them. Why didn't he fire them after Sunday's 2nd game? He's an A$$hole.

NOT THIS FAN...HE'S NOT THE BEST MANAGER, BUT HOW MANY GAMES DO THEY EXPECT TO WIN WITH FERNANDO TATIS AND TROT NIXON OR DAMON EASLEY STARTING IN THE OUTFIELD. HAD WAGNER NOT BLOWN THOSE GAMES THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN 5 OUT. BESIDES WHO SIGNED MOISES ALOU, EL DUQUE WHO CAN'T PITCH BECAUSE OF THE SAME FOOT PROBLEMS THAT SIDELINED HIM LAST YR DURING THE COLLAPSE, AND LUIS CASTILLO COMING OFF KNEE SURGERY..."OMAR" THE NEW TEFLON DON..WHY NOT BRING UP YOUR TOP TRIPLE A PLAYERS? (OH RIGHT WE DON'T HAVE ANY) WAS RANDOLPH SUPPOSED TO DEVELOPE THE MINOR LEAGUE SYSTEM TOO?

HIS FATE WAS SEALED WHEN THEY GOT SWEPT BY THE PADRES. IT'S NOT A GREAT EXCUSE BUT THE METS HAVE PLAYED MORE GAMES IN DENVER AND WEST THAN ANY OTHER EASTERN CLUB. SO THE SCHEDULE HASN'T BEEN THEIR FRIEND EITHER. WHY MAKE THEM GO OUT WEST TO FIRE THEM? SO THE PRESS EXPOSURE WOULD BE LESS INTENSIVE. I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF RANDOLPH GOT TIRED OFF THE QUESTIONS ABOUT HIM AND HIS STAFF AND FORCED THE ISSUE.IF NOTHING ELSE HE WAS A CLASS ACT WHO WAS ABLE TO DEAL WITH THE MEDIA.
