Taking The Braves And The Under (I Know Thats Murder In Texas) Tonight Heres Why....
Jo-Jo Reyes has given up three runs or less in three of his last four outings.
In his last start, allowed two runs and five hits in eight innings as Atlanta beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-2 on Friday night. He has won each of his two interleague starts, posting a 2.77 ERA.
He's been pitching well lately and the Rangers don't hit lefties as well as they do righties. Its a bonus IF Bradley doesn't play tonight after going out with a quad strain last night.
If anyone saw the game last night the Rangers clearly outplayed the Braves for most of the game but when Padilla started to lose his control and the Rangers brought in the suck bullpen.... The Braves had a chance to tie it up in the 9th (but didnt cash in).
Montague is an under ump.
The most unpredictable thing in tonights game is Hurley for the Rangers. He didnt have a good first outing and his Triple A record wasn't the best, but the Braves seem to struggle against pitchers that just get called up to the big leagues (maybe its lack of game tape to study and/or they never have faced the guy...Im not sure what it is). Having said that, I think Reyes has enough for the Braves to pull it off and if they reach the Texas pen early, it wont be pretty for the Rangers.
Mike Gonzalez is supposed to be activated tonight and may see some action if the Braves are trying to close it out tonight.
Good Luck
