Boston's year was 2008. Next year it will be Laker's year especially with Bynum back.

Does Bynum coming back all of a sudden grow balls for Odom and Gasol? I think it's pretty clear LA beat SA because Manu was hurt. Looking back at the Lakers - what do they really have? 2002 they did not win - 2000 hardly counts when Duncan missed the playoffs and they were swept out by him the year before - so for all this greatness - LA has one ring to show - big deal

You can get rid of 2 of SA while your at it. Who counts a short year or beating the Suns b/c of a hip check...

2 rings and a old ass team... big deal...

Why does everyone assume Bynum is going to make a huge difference? he played well in about 20 or so games and he is still a young player. Does he have a track record of being a stud in the NBA?

Tex,

He played nearly 1/2 a season (35 games) averaged 13/10 on 65% shooting + 2.1 blocks a game...

His last month his numbers were 17-10 so he was getting better as the season went on...

He also was able to defend the post without having to double very good post players...

His post D and rebounding was the biggest loss as Gasol and Odom are not the best at defending centers...

I hear ya dirty, I just need more than 1/2 a season. We shall see. They need to get rid of Odom though, that guy shows up 1 out of every 4 games to play.

How about a small wager on Portland at 25/1? They have a nice young team and with G. Oden coming back they might be a pretty good team.

Where are those odds? Seem like they add up to 180% or so, huge overlay...

Probably a vegas book?

Both these teams will be contenders next year obviously. Remains to be seen how Bynum fits in with LA, what they really need is a wingman who can defend/shoot. Artest would be a nice fit if they had the balls to get him, but I doubt it.......
