This was in high school. Ump has hired a lawyer. The two were brothers I believe. The catcher had a commitment to a JC and they have since rescinded

Why would they do that with a runner on base in a championship game?

I wonder if it was just a missed signal and the catcher was expecting a curve or slider or sinker and it just never moved?

They were supposedly pissed about strike calls against them at the platre earlier in the game and they were getting killed.

I did the same thing, but theyu made it too obvious. The right way to do it is have the pitcher MISS a pitchout sign.

It's going to be pretty hard to prove intent in court because there are so many situations like the one you describe that could be reasonable.
