Its a pretty nice hotel. The little cafe/restraunt makes the best greasy cheesburgers. I have stayed there every year for the past 5 years for the World Poker Open Tournaments in January.

Gold Spike casino in Vegas, last time we were there (about a year ago), had the best deal in Las Vegas.

$1.00 Tecate beer and $1.00 Cuervo gold shot. If you tipped the bartender a buck or two the shots were doubles.

Great deal if you overlook the surroundings.

The guy from CheapoVegasdotcom describes the smell as "a dirty ashtray, filled with rotten sausage, in the pocket of a dead man."

Something like that anyway. Still, no better deal on a Tecate and Cuervo Gold north of Juarez.

look, the bottom line with this place is the best part of it is that it is next door to the horseshoe. thats where all the action is. sure, accept the free room and shit from them, but you will spend all your time next door. poker room is always full and they have the best steakhouse and buffet in tunica. im 30 minutes away in memphis, so holla if your coming in town.

yeah but in tunica, you gotta drive a handful of miles to get there from gs. not worth is. tunica casinos are much better about the free drinks and shit than vegas is these days

Stay away stay away stay away!!! Of the 3 hotels in in that loop or section or whatever you wanna call it, Gold strike is the dirtiest dingiest dark poorly run piece of crap hotel in that section.

It is god a god awful place i wouldnt recommend to you. First time i stayed there, i was given a room that wasnt cleaned and the most disgusting goop i have ever seen in a bathroom sink.

The rooms are dingy dark dreary cages.

If goldstrike gave you 3 free nights, this means you have enough juice to shop those 3 nights around at any of the other casinos in that area. Horseshoe is by far better, cleaner well maintained. Give em a shot

(i forget the name of the other one, it may be smaller but it has rooms far better and more decent than the cruddy crap at goldstrike.

That being said, the best action on blackjack is to be had at goldstrike. (more tables, more options more floor space) The other two are always crowded or dont have enough tables. ALWAYS!!!)

So stay any where else, but the goldstrike..But if you like black jack especially then gold strike is where the money is at..

Ps..Just so you know, even if i was banned from the black jack tables at goldstrike that doesnt mean i cant give you a good review of the rooms and service.

Last time I went to the Goldstrike to play BJ, the minimum single deck was
$25 and all the double decks cut off 1 deck. I wasn't impressed
with the BJ conditions. Plus, I got told I had to flat-bet at the
horseshoe next door which had a great single deck game until Harrah's bought them out.

You must have been there on a very very busy weekend so they hiked up the table limits. (I simply dont go to tunica on weekends any more. That is a straight up invitation to burn money)

When it comes to tables, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CASINO IN TUNICA WITH MORE TABLES OR FLOOR SPACE.

Fitz may come close and i think the other one called Resorts may come close. But way too many wanna be highrollers go there because resorts gives away rooms practically for free to get these rats in. (Never ever paid a room tab over there, but i will be honest..those fAckers get me every time, so mostly play else where then lose it back to these fools)

All tunica double decks cut off one deck. Its up to you to cozy up to a dealer and get them to cut of 3/4.

Ps...Never trust any dealer over 35 at fitz. They are certified crooks and can shuffle you broke.

goldstrike rooms are nasty...

the people at the food court are fn idiots...

there is no wireless internet access in the rooms...

you have to go to foodcourt for that and then what the f are you going to do with your computer if you wanna go gamble? back to the room?

the buffet is pretty decent

the bellhops and service staff are friendly

high limit room is nice but empty

thanks fellas. i always saty at MGM properties in Vegas and have been twice this year..I was checking my offers yesterday and saw 3 free night/air for the goldstrike in tunica, MS..i called and they said they would fly me and a guest there, pick us up form the airport, have 3 fre enights, all meals comped and fly us back..I have never been there and wondered if it was worth it. They fly us on sky king, which is used to fly around most of the professional sports teams as well as some entertainers acoridy to their website..I have gotten mixed reviews from the hotel though..it is hard to pass up a free trip, even though they probably get me for a few k on the tables.
