I just found out the other day that my internet company now allows me to drop my phoneline and still keep the internet so I ordered VONTAGE.
Here are the issues.
Whenever someone calls me they have to dial the area code first.
That really sucks, if I give someone my number they are not going to know that they have to dial the area code for a local number. Im sure im going to miss a ton of calls because of this.
I just dropped my regular phone and may have to pick it right back up.
Imagine someone trying to call you without dialing the area code and getting a wrong number message.
They are just going to assume that its not the right number.
Another problem is your number is not listed in the phone books.
These are things they dont tell you on the comercials. So keep that in mind before you signup for the service.
