Omg, they never learn. This team could be the worst in a while...may wanna add some guys who play defense. They have poor defenders a-plenty (Boozer, Anthony, Kidd)...very average (James, Redd, Williams)...thants half the team, thanks Colangelo and Coach K.

Speaking of coach K, has his performance at Duke and international ball the last 5 years have you scared for the prospect of him nutting up in the olympics? It does now. Als, really cannot believe that Carmello is in the olympics twice already.

If Anthonys bad attitude last time wasnt enough to keep him off, why arent P. Pierce and J. Oneal on this one?

Three "big" men, in Howard, Boozer and Bosh. None a natural center...Boozer is 6-7 with zero defensive skills, meaning if Bosh or Howard get hurt or in foul trouble you basically have Lebron James playing the 4. Moronic.

Umm, how does Kidd, after his dismal performance, make any "all league" team..sh*t he is worse than Devan Harris.

I'm going on record saying the USA easily wins it all this year. Team is not perfect but it's in better shape than recently.

With their team no other country should be able to keep a game within 30 points. That's not an exaggeration, it's the truth. Bryant, James, Howard, Anthony and Kidd as the possible starting lineup? Absolutely nasty.

I hope they lose and by some miracle Canada gets in and wins, but I really can't see the US losing a game. This is probably one of their best teams.

They opened as -360 favorites to win it all for people interested in betting on them. If you think they lose you can get the field at +300.

There are some players that play great defense on this team: Howard, Kobe, Lebron, Prince. This team will bring home the gold.

Ray Allen and Eddie House are terrible defenders and the Celtics played some of the best defense in playoff history with them.

That's a good point. The Celtics really only had one good individual defender, maybe two. Garnett and possibly Pierce are the only good defenders on the Celtics, but they played great team defense.

It just shows you don't need good individual defenders to play good team defense.

Obviously it is no dream team. But any team that has arguably the 4 best players in the entire league last year in Kobe, LeBron, CP3, and Dwight Howard, with what will be a healthy D-Wade as well, should not get touched in these olympics. I really don't think the selfishness will be a problem, all of these guys are embarrased about what has happened the last few years and seem to be taking this seriously.

you guys are forgetting the US and specially the NBA does not promote nor do they encourage team play in any shape or form. Real officials dont care that a players jersey says Bryant when they call fouls and aren't looking to expand a 'series to 7 games'. When it comes to 'pure team basketball' the US has fallen behind and is no longer the favorite.

Its gonna be easy as walk in the park,you guys have no idea how horrible are other countries and there is none that could come up with even 5 good players coming close to US Roster.Croetia,Russia,Spain,Italy,Brazil and Argentina are all way far behind you regardless of defense or not,USA wins that GOLD MEDAL without any troubles.
