I heard the cortez downtown?

any others?

-BlackJack pays 3:2
-Can double on any 2 cards
-Dealer holds on soft 17
-Can re-split as often as you want
-Can double on re-splits

anyone have all these rules and more? If not what are the best bets on the strip?

Nothing worthwhile on the Strip - there hasn't been for years. Don't know about EC, but that place is a dump, hard to spend more than just a few minutes there.

Personally, I'd go off Strip to Summerlin - Rampart and Suncoast have never let me down.

Man next you will want single decks too. Let the casino keep a little of your money.

Drive to the gambler's book shop on Charleston when you get here. Buy Current Blackjack News for $10. Will save you lots of time and effort.

Bad advice. Two reasons:

1 - The readers of CBJN have already written off BJ on the Strip and only read it for the non-Vegas locations. I used to be reporter for them :tongue2:

2 - CBJN looks for the games with an edge. In the case of our friend here who just wants a decent shot at a game, CBJN may not have the right angle. Plus $10 on a newsletter cuts into the EV :toast:

-Haven't read CBJN in a while, but was trying to save time and effort in one-stop shopping. I assume they still have the rules and house edge listed for Vegas casinos.

-SS is a sharp gambler and will be looking for the best game.

-$10 is a pittance for a baller like Savant.

-Think he would enjoy the GBC regardless.

6:5 is more of the rule now rather than the exception on the strip. Most $5-$15 BJ games are 6:5. Especially at the Harrahs properties. You need to play 6-8 decks or $25 bucks a hand to get the 3:2.

Most of the 6:5 games I saw on the strip a couple of weeks ago were single or double deck.

Its a shame all of the sheep flock to these 6:5 games. STAY AWAY IF SMART.

I disagree. MGM always has the rules that he specified, plus surrender.

Its true that there are *some* playable games but most of them are in the high-limit pits. The last one I heard of was at the Luxor and still might be there but it was a black chip game. Don't know about the MGM game, wouldn't be surprised if it was also a black chip game.
