I took under 9½ in Zito's last start against DET and he gave up 5 runs in the first inning. I thought I was cooked, but ended up still cashing the ticket after a 7-2 final because the Giants consistently fail to produce runs. Maybe this is the rationale here.
With that being said, GOD Zito sucks. His fastball was topping out at 83-84 where he used to be in the low 90's. He needs to learn to live on the corners to survive and he simply isn't capable.
