I have a thread in the NBA forum you need to check out base on the Martingale system!!

Win Money$$$ Or Lose The Bankroll Thread

ALWAY WANTED TO SEE IF I COULD MAKE MONEY THIS WAY...

I WILL MAKE MY BETS BASE ON NBA AND CBB (JUST DOING IT HERE IN THE NBA FORUM)

FOR ME ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY...BECAUSE ITS ONLY A $2000 BANK ROLL

TRYING TO WIN $10 A GAME...IF I LOSE IT WILL GO UP TO $21 BET ON THE NEXT ONE...UNTIL I WIN THE $10.00

SOMETHING LIKE THIS WILL HAPPEN IF I LOSE 7 IN A ROW

1ST BET $10
2..........$21......LOST $33
3..........$43......LOST $80
4..........$90......LOST $179
5..........$189....LOST $387
6..........$397....LOST $824
7..........$834....LOST $1741 TOTAL AND WILL BE DONE

EVERY BET IAM ONLY TRY TO WIN $10

COULD ADD A "0" AT THE END.....BUT THIS IS NOT ABOUT THAT...ITS ABOUT ME CANT LOSING 7 IN A ROW

I THINK EVERYONE THAT CAPS KNOW YOU CAN HAVE A BAD RUN....BUT I FEEL I WILL NOT LOSE 7 IN A ROW

DOING THIS WILL A SMALL AMOUNT OF MONEY AND TO KILL TIME BEFORE THE FOOTBALL SEASON STARTS IN 4 MO'S

MY RULE IS SIMPLE GAME MUST END BEFORE A NEW BET IS PLACE
TWO SPORTS NBA AND CBB

right now Iam 128-0

Ace-Ace, I wasn't sure if you were joking or not so I checked out the NBA forum and discovered that you are not.

BUT I FEEL I WILL NOT LOSE 7 IN A ROW

Millions of others have thought the same.

I did this over the final weeks of the NBA...I was betting on the lakers every game and fading Memphis every game..

(I slaughtered em!!!!) Didnt even need martingale. After some time i straight stopped it, increased my bets and flat bet...(I really slaughtered them some more)

Ps...Dont ever martingale anything ever...

LOL..Be smart pick your spots and situations to martingale.

Never make the mistake of saying i will pick randomly and i wont lose. Pick something precise. It is far easier to lose 7 in a row betting anything on the board than it is to lose 7 in a row betting the same team or trend..

I find this is the best way to martingale, and i dont ever recall ever passing the 4th progression..

Ps..I only martingale with pocket money. (apart from a very huge bet i had on Spain to beat Italy this week) That progression only lasted to the second bet and i won. (Wasnt even martingale. i tripled my bet instead of simple doubling because i was that confident)

Ps..Also, try to bet ON not AGAINST the trend/team/situation. (bet on the history)

Just think, in a year's time you'll have 40k and double it again!

I shouldn't encourage this, but is a little research so hard?

martingale system works when people use it right and have their own system in place to cut their losses.

It doesn't work if you have a 1K bankroll and start betting $200 right away

The martingale system takes a decent capper and his profits make it look like he is a good capper

Would this work if you pick a tennis player during a tourney with an easy draw? A lower ranked player who's never made it past round 3. Assuming your bankroll is high enough and the book would accept your bet. Problem is you might end up laying 800+ chalk.

Probably if you do it tournament after tournament and do it knowing going in you will lose far more than you will win record wise but6 then set a count as to say 4 t5ournaments, you could follow some player say that is ranked 88 in the world. That ranking is high enough to get them in virtuallty every tournament but not seeded in any and to be an underdog. Now you play that person 4 consecutive tournaments. after 4, move on and cutr your losses, but you just get 1 won at +800 and you make your money.

Funny you say that, because it's the system of cutting losses (betting limits) that cause martingale to be a gigantic failure.

No amount of capping skill can make up for being such a terrible bettor.

Not if you do it within your limits. I think people make the mistake of putting no limit on it to do it. And just keep going double or nothing and being extrmely aggressive with it.

For example, i bet baseball and use a 4 game martingale. After 4 games, it counts as a loss and starts over but in those 4 games, I only bet maybe 5% or so of my bankroll. It differs alot in bases because it is not ATS. But in bases, since games are series, alot of times you can take a good team that is on a 1 or 2 game losing streak and bet them 3 consective games and chances are they will win one of the three.

We've done martingale to death on this forum, and the people who said it was rubbish is still around, while the people who backed it have disappeared. That says it all really. It doesn't really matter though since even at 5% you're overbetting and are unlikely a winner anyway. That's the case for most people here, and all they can do is try to lose at a rate that isn't unhealthy for them. This may sound harsh but it is almost certainly the truth. I wish you luck though.

Who's still on this forum has nothing to do with it. In fact, I have always had a theory on forums like these and that is usually the guys wil the fewer are posts are the sharper guys. Plus, I'm sure many bet that don't give a damn about what is on this forum.

I can say that I am a winning better this baseball season. I'd post what my results have been but it has no merit since it is my word against someone elses. But of course, since I only have 15 or so posts, I am not credible. LOL
